Madera Police Reportedly Find Ghost Gun While Detaining Theft Suspects

“Last night at around 8:50 PM, MPD Officers Thomas and Okpalaugo responded to a theft of beer from a local business. Officers located the suspects in the 100 block of S. C St. They were identified as 18 year old Dorian Chavez and 18 year old Leon Amado. They attempted to flee on foot as officers contacted them. Dorian was quickly apprehended as Leon continued to flee. While Leon was fleeing he tossed a 9mm ‘ghost’ style handgun with a large capacity magazine. Both suspects were arrested and booked at Madera County Jail for several theft and firearm related charges.”
