Four Arrested in Connection with Shooting in Los Angeles Which Left One Dead, Another Injured
The Los Angeles Police Department’s South Bureau Homicide Detectives have announced the arrest of four suspects in connection with a recent double shooting, the department announced in a press release.
The shooting occurred on March 3 on the 12000 block of South Figueroa Street, resulting in the death of Joel Villalobos and injury to a second individual identified as Pedro Arias.
The suspects have been identified as Ivan Gonzalez, 21; Luis Chavez, 47; Christian Castillo, 18; and Daniel Murillo, 18.
Murillo was arrested on March 4 on suspicion of murder, and is being held on $3,000,000 bail. The District Attorney’s Office filed formal charges soon thereafter.
Chavez and Castillo were arrested on March 19 on suspicion of murder, with each held on $2,000,000 bail. Charges filed against them reportedly include murder, attempted murder, and conspiracy.
Gonzalez was arrested on March 20 for alleged conspiracy in connection with the shootings and booked on $2,000,000 bail.
