Morro Bay Police Apprehend Suspect in Stabbing Incident on Reno Ct.

“On April 5, 2024, at approximately 1836 hours, the Morro Bay Police Department responded to reports of a stabbing which had just occurred on the 2400 block of Reno Ct.

Morro Bay Police Department officers responded to the area and immediately located an adult female victim suffering from injuries to her neck and multiple stab wounds to her chest and hand. The victim was promptly transported to a local hospital by medical personnel. In speaking with the victim, the suspect had fled and was a known friend who lived on the 400 block of Bonita.

Morro Bay Police Department officers positively identified and contacted the suspect, Jerry Adams, 71, of Morro Bay, on the 400 block of Bonita. Suspect Adams was taken into custody without incident and booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail for the charges of attempt homicide (PC 664/187), false imprisonment (PC 236), intimidating a witness (PC 136.1), and sexual assault against the victims will through force (PC 287( C)(2)(A).

There is no outstanding threat to our community and the investigation is ongoing.”
