Two Suspects Arrested for BB Gun Shooting Incident on Rodriguez Street

“Officers have arrested two 19-year-old suspects accused of injuring two people with a BB gun during an early morning shooting.
WPD Officers responded to the 400 block of Rodriguez Street shortly after 1:30 AM today after receiving reports of a shooting. Once on scene, they found two victims suffering from BB gun wounds. Both are expected to be okay.
Witnesses told Officers they saw two suspects, one in a ski mask, drive off in a white car. Shortly after, Officers on patrol spotted that car driving recklessly and pulled it over on the 100 block of Main Street. Inside the car, a BB gun and ski mask were found. The suspects, Guillermo Rodriguez Carrillo and Alejandro Mata, were arrested and booked into the Santa Cruz County Jail. They are also suspected of shooting out several windows at businesses in the downtown area.”
