Man arrested on Outstanding Warrants and for Damaging Property in El Dorado County

Law enforcement authorities responded to a call regarding a vehicle stuck in the mud near Washoe Meadows State Park in South Lake Tahoe on the morning of April 9, 2024. Deputies from the El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office (EDSO) were dispatched to the scene following reports from concerned neighbors who observed the vehicle’s presence since the early hours of the same day.

Upon arrival, deputies made contact with the driver of the vehicle, identified as Ross Perusse. During routine checks, it was discovered that Perusse had an outstanding warrant issued by the Nevada Department of Public Safety Parole and Probation.

Subsequently, Perusse was placed under arrest for the outstanding warrant. In addition to the arrest, California State Parks issued citations to Perusse for driving on and damaging state property. The precise circumstances surrounding the vehicle becoming stuck in the mud were not disclosed in the initial report.
