3 Suspects Arrested in Fatal Shooting of Teen Girls

A shooting incident occurred on April 13, 2024, at approximately 8:10 PM, in the 400 block of Riverside Drive, located between Laurel and Oak Streets in Napa, California, according to reports received by Napa Central Dispatch. Upon arrival at the scene, Napa Police Department Patrol Officers discovered two female victims adjacent to the roadway, both having sustained gunshot wounds.
Efforts by Napa Police Officers and Emergency Medical personnel to administer life-saving measures were undertaken immediately. Regrettably, despite these efforts, one victim was pronounced deceased at the scene, while the second victim was transported to a local hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries.
Subsequent to the incident, investigators, with the assistance of forensic specialists and community engagement, have been actively working on the case. Preliminary identification of the victims was made by detectives on the same day as the shooting. Families of the victims were notified promptly following the tragic event.
On April 18, 2024, the Napa Sheriff Coroner conducted autopsies and confirmed the identities of the victims as Sasha Mufich, a 17-year-old female, and Aileen Villasenor, a 19-year-old female. Mufich passed away at the scene, while Villasenor succumbed to her injuries at a local hospital.
Authorities have made significant progress in the investigation, with three suspects having been arrested in connection with the case. The criminal proceedings have been referred to the Napa County District Attorney’s Office for charging decisions and future prosecution.
