Former SUSD President Arrested for Alleged Theft of Public Funds and Insurance Fraud

“Today, April 19, 2024, The San Joaquin County Sheriff’s Office arrested former SUSD President AngelAnn Flores after a thorough investigation of Theft of Public Funds and Insurance Fraud.

After a thorough investigation our findings were presented to the San Joaquin County District Attorney’s Office, who then reviewed the facts and determined an arrest warrant was most appropriate for the below four felony counts:

  • Penal Code 424(a)(1) Theft of public funds (Felony) by using her credit card to purchase fuel and food for her personal gain.
  • Penal Code 487(a) Grand Theft of money (Felony)exceeding nine hundred fifty dollars ($950)
  • Penal Code 504 Embezzlement by a public official (Felony) via use of her credit card.
  • Penal Code 550(a)(1) Insurance Fraud (Felony) for knowingly filing a false insurance claim as a result of a non-SUSD-related vehicle accident.
