Monterey County Authorities Discover Link Between Mass Shooting and Double Homicide Cases

Monterey County law enforcement authorities have served multiple search warrants in connection with the King City mass shooting and a double homicide near Soledad, revealing a link between the two cases, the Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.

The mass shooting, which occurred on March 3, 2024, resulted in 11 individuals being shot during a birthday party, leaving 4 dead and 7 injured. Additionally, on February 4th, 2024, two cousins were tragically killed in a double homicide on Los Coches Road.

In an effort to progress the ongoing investigation, over 50 search warrants have been served. On April 18th, law enforcement agencies, including the King City Police and Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, conducted further searches in Greenfield. While several arrests have been made in connection with these crimes, investigators continue to pursue leads and persons of interest.
