SFPD Arrests Narcotics Dealer with Firearms Cache Following Search Warrant Execution

San Francisco Police officers from the Narcotics Division arrested Darwin Paz, a 27-year-old male from Oakland, on May 3, 2024, following the execution of a search warrant. Paz, a suspected narcotics dealer, was apprehended without incident in the vicinity of Golden Gate Ave and Leavenworth Street. Upon his arrest, officers discovered Paz in possession of fentanyl, a concealed firearm, and live rounds.

Subsequent to Paz’s arrest, officers conducted a search of his residence in Oakland, where they uncovered an arsenal of illegal items. Among the seized items were an assault rifle equipped with an optic, fentanyl, multiple rifle components, numerous extended and loaded magazines, and equipment used in the manufacturing of controlled substances.

Paz faces multiple charges, including possession for sale of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance while armed, and various firearm-related offenses. He has been booked into San Francisco County Jail pending further legal proceedings.

The San Francisco Police Department reaffirmed its commitment to combatting the city’s drug crisis by apprehending individuals involved in illegal narcotics trade.
