Stolen Vehicle Bust Leads to Arrest and Discovery of Narcotics and Firearms

“On April 27, a proactive Sheriff’s Sergeant was patrolling a busy parking lot in the unincorporated area of Ione, when he located a stolen vehicle. The occupant of the vehicle (Adam Gross of Ione) was arrested for possession of stolen property, in addition to narcotic related offenses.
On May 7, members of the Investigations Bureau served a search warrant at Gross’ residence in connection to the original case. During the execution of the warrant, detectives located additional narcotics, firearms and several stolen vehicles to include a flatbed trailer and two ATVS. Gross, who was out on bail for the original case, was again arrested for being in possession of stolen property and felon in possession of a firearm.
