WALNUT CREEK — A suspected pedophile remains in custody in lieu of $3.3 million bond. Walnut Creek detectives recently arrested Kevin M. Osborne, 67, of Concord. The suspect is housed at the West County Detention Facility in Richmond.

A prepared statement from the police says. “This case was reported to Walnut Creek police several weeks ago, and a thorough investigation was completed. Charges stem from incidents that occurred 15 to 20 years ago.”

Detectives arrested Osborne on April 30 for sexual assault of a juvenile. Osborne faces charge for two counts of sexual assault of a child under 10 years old. In addition, he is charged with 13 counts of lewd acts upon a child under 14.

The police statement continues. “Given the allegations and nature of the case, there may be other individuals the same suspect sexually assaulted. Because it is possible there are other victims, we are releasing a photo of Osborne.”

The incidents involving the Walnut Creek case occurred in May 2007 and May 2011. The evidence was presented to the Contra Costa County District Attorney’s Office and a Ramey Warrant was issued.
