Two Arrested in Connection with April 2023 Homicide of Khyrei Currie
Tracy Police have announced the arrest of two individuals in connection with the fatal shooting of Khyrei Currie in April of 2023.
After a year-long investigation, the Tracy Police Department announced via press release the arrests of two suspects in connection with the fatal shooting of Khyrei Currie at McDonald Park in Tracy on April 21, 2023.
TPD detectives have identified Juan Santos, 24, and Adrian Darbison, 18, as the primary suspects in Khyrei’s death.
On Tuesday, May 14, Tracy PD’s General Investigations Unit, Special Investigations Unit, Special Enforcement Team, Crisis Response Unit, Patrol Officers, and Crime Scene Technicians carried out search and arrest warrants at multiple locations.
These locations reportedly included the 2900 block of North MacArthur Drive in Tracy, the 1500 block of Sephos Street in Manteca, the 1900 block of Darrah Street in Ceres, and the 1000 block of West 9th Street in Tracy.
Juan Santos was arrested in Tracy on suspicion of murder and conspiracy.
Adrian Darbison was arrested in Manteca on suspicion of murder and conspiracy.
Both were booked at the San Joaquin County jail.
