Part One- “Today around 2pm, officers located a vehicle stolen out of Sacramento headed towards the Y from Meyers. The driver failed to stop and fled at a high rate of speed through the Y. When officers caught up, the driver had already crashed the vehicle in front of BevMo and fled on foot. A perimeter was set and a search was completed with one of our K9s, our drone, and a CHP helicopter. Ultimately the driver has yet to be located. The driver is described as a white male adult, 5’8” – 5’10” short curly hair, mid 20s, wearing a black shirt and blue jeans. The driver appeared to be the sole occupant of the vehicle. There is no information on the driver to suggest a danger to the public. However if someone matching the description is found acting suspicious, call 911. There are no road closures. Part Two- “Update from yesterday’s incident: Around 2:15pm we received a call regarding a suspicious subject near Alpine Dr. and Venice Dr. The caller informed us the subject matched the description of yesterdays suspect and had asked how to get a bus to Reno. Officers arrived and located 27 year old Dylan English out of Reno. Officers were able to determine English was in fact the driver of the stolen Audi that fled from us and fled on foot after crashing. English was arrested for evading police and vehicle theft.
