According to a press release by the Los Angeles Police Department, a suspect followed a victim on the 800 block of East 1st Street late on the afternoon of April 28. The suspect allegedly attempted to take the victim’s Rolex watch and assaulted the victim, rendering them unconscious. After taking the watch, the suspect fled the scene.

The victim received medical attention for their injuries.

On May 14, the Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation Fugitive Apprehension Team arrested the suspect in Downey without incident. The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Pablo Garcia of Los Angeles, was arrested on suspicion of robbery, with bail set at $450,000.
