An individual was arrested in connection with a recent stabbing in Willows.
In a press release, the Glenn County Sheriff’s Office announced that they had identified Ramiro Robles Gomez, 20, as the primary suspect in the stabbing, which occurred in the early morning hours of Thursday, May 16.
Deputies responded to the city limits of Willows early that morning and located the victim, who had suffered a stab wound to the chest. Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to an area hospital, where she was treated for major injuries.
Although deputies initially identified two alleged suspects, Gomez alone was taken into custody after questioning. He was booked at the Glenn County jail.
The investigation is active and ongoing, police said.
Any person arrested on suspicion of a crime is presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.
