“Yesterday, Tabojia Washington, Tremaine Dixon, and an unknown male entered the Bath and Body Works located on Olson Drive, as Washington was holding her 18-month-old child in her arms. Washington and Dixon selected $1,940.40 worth of merchandise, and exited the business without paying.
A short time later, they went to the Bath and Body Works on Fair Oaks Boulevard and returned a portion of the merchandise they had just stolen from the other location, receiving funds back in the form of a gift card and fled in a vehicle. Sheriff’s Property Crime Detectives located them a short distance away, where Washington and Dixon were subsequently arrested. Detectives recovered stolen property from Bath and Body Works as well as another local business.
The 18-month-old child was unsecured in a car seat and did not appear cared for. Detectives purchased diapers for the child with their own personal money, after which Children’s Protective Services arrived and placed the child into protective custody.
Washington and Dixon were both transported to the Sacramento County Main Jail and booked for multiple felony charges, where they currently are being held on $75,000 bail. They are scheduled to appear in court on June 3.
Detectives believe Washington, Dixon, and the other unidentified male are involved in other unreported thefts in the area, and are asking anyone with information to contact the Sheriff’s Office at (916) 874-5115 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357).
