BRENTWOOD — Justin W. Keller, a 29-year-old repeat offender from Brentwood, is back inside county jail again. Keller remains in custody at the West County Detention Facility in lieu of $450,000 bond, pending a court hearing on June 17.

Keller allegedly rammed the front gate and smashed a window at Skylinks at Buchanan Fields Golf Course in Concord. This happened during an attempted burglary on May 31 shortly before 4 a.m. Contra Costa County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to an alarm at the golf course on Concord Avenue. Deputies found the damaged gate and broken glass, but the suspect had already fled from the scene.

Deputies investigating the incident obtained descriptions of the suspect and a stolen vehicle used to flee from the area. Deputies searched the vicinity and arrested Keller the same day at 8:38 a.m.

Keller had in his possession the stolen vehicle and burglary tools. He also had outstanding arrest warrants. Multiple charges were filed on June 4 against Keller. His charges include second-degree burglary, receiving a stolen motor vehicle, and vandalism. Keller was convicted of second-degree commercial burglary in 2017.

Keller has many previous arrests on his record. Since 2017 he has been arrested 23 times. He was arrested six times in 2023 for drug-related offenses, and annoying or molesting a child. His other prior arrests involve burglaries, motor vehicle thefts, and possession of controlled substances.
