The Humboldt County Drug Task Force recently arrested in an individual for the alleged possession of over one pound of methamphetamine.

Authorities arrested the individual following the service of a search warrant on June 8, the task force said in a press release.

Agents reportedly observed the individual, identified as 46-year-old Jasmine Kahoalii Lucero, travel from Humboldt County to Sacramento.

When Lucero returned, agents conducted a traffic stop and deployed a K-9 unit to search the vehicle for narcotics.

The K-9 reportedly detected narcotics in the vehicle, which led to authorities discovering over a pound of methamphetamine, a digital scale, and paraphernalia.

After taking Lucero into custody, authorities booked her at the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance, transportation of a controlled substance for sales, and transportation of a controlled substance through non-contiguous counties.
