Imperial County Sheriff’s Office Arrests Driver for Felony Firearms Possession and Drug Charges

“On Saturday, May 25, 2024, at approximately 5:11 p.m. hours, Deputies from the Imperial County Sheriff’s Office Winterhaven Station conducted a Traffic Stop on Picacho Rd near Quechan Dr.

Upon further investigation and with the assistance of the United States Border Patrol K-9 unit methamphetamine was located inside the vehicle. A further search of the vehicle revealed ammunition and a loaded firearm.

After talking to the driver, it was brought to the attention of deputies that the driver was a prior felon. The driver was then booked in the Imperial County Jail for felon in possession of a loaded firearm, ammunition, possession, transportation and sales of a controlled substance.”
