Police Arrest Parolee with Loaded Firearm in Local Park Sweep
“PROACTIVE POLICE ARREST
At approx. 10:30am our officers were conducting extra patrol at a local park when they observed a suspicious vehicle occupied in the parking lot. The driver was contacted and officers learned he was on active parole for weapons violations. During a parole search of the vehicle officers located a loaded firearm and the subject was safely taken into custody.
The 29yr old, validated gang member, was arrested on weapons charges, a parole violation and transported to County Jail.
We’re extremely proud of our officers’ hard work, dedication and willingness to place themselves in danger to protect our community and get guns off of our streets.”
