Michael Stine Receives Life Sentence for Murder of Shelby Comeaux II
Michael Stine has been sentenced to 25 years to Life following a trial where he was convicted of first-degree murder for the stabbing death of Shelby Comeaux II on October 8, 2020.
Nevada County Sheriff’s Office responded to the incident and found Comeaux fatally injured at a property in south county. Stine’s conviction was supported by key evidence including an eyewitness account and cell phone audio capturing parts of the altercation.
The trial concluded on October 5, 2023, and District Attorney Jesse Wilson prosecuted the case with investigative support from NCSO Sergeant Andrew Liller and Sacramento Hi-Tech Crimes Task Force Detectives.
