An individual in Madera County is in custody for allegedly driving under the influence and rolling their vehicle. The individual’s children were in the vehicle with them, authorities said.
According to a media release, the California Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a roll-over crash on Road 206 near Road 45.
At the scene, officers reportedly found the vehicle, described as a Nissan Titan, on its wheels in a dirt field. The vehicle had sustained major damage, authorities said.
Authorities allege that the driver had lost control of the vehicle and veered off the road, causing the vehicle to overturn.
Two juveniles who had been riding in the car sustained minor injuries and were transported to an area children’s hospital, authorities said.
The driver of the vehicle, identified as the children’s parent, was reportedly placed under arrest on suspicion of driving under the influence.
