A man was recently arrested on suspicion of hit-and-run and driving under the influence in Fairfield.
According to the Fairfield Police Department, officers responded on the night of June 22 to the area of East Tabor Avenue and San Gabriel Street to investigate a reported hit-and-run.
In a press release, police said that the alleged hit-and-run resulted in injuries, but did not provide further details.
Officers reportedly located the suspect vehicle in the area and also obtained a description of the driver. Officers soon located the suspected driver walking on foot and allegedly showing signs of being under the influence.
Police identified the suspected driver as Saul Tolentino-Chavez, 29.
Tolentino-Chavez was ultimately arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and driving on a suspended license, among other charges, police said.
