LIVERMORE — A ranch employee suspected of burglary got arrested in the rear parking lot of Joe Michell TK-8 School on Elaine Avenue. The suspect is allegedly responsible for two burglaries that happened last weekend.
Alfredo Flores Macedonia, a 29-year-old resident of Livermore, was placed under arrest June 23 at 2:18 a.m. Macedonia was booked into Alameda County Santa Rita Jail, where he remains in custody in lieu of $15,000 bond.
Livermore PD responded to the first burglary incident during the early hours of June 23. A suspicious man was reported inside a backyard of a home on Mocho Street.
In a prepared statement Livermore police said. “The man had attempted to gain access to the home by opening a back sliding door. The homeowner confronted the man, and the man ran off.”
The suspect remained temporarily elusive until he showed up a half mile away. About 30 minutes later a man believed to be the same suspect was reported inside a residence on El Dorado Drive. “The man had previously lived at this house and was known to the homeowner.”
A search commenced for the suspect who fled again. Officers deployed an aerial drone and found Macedonia in the nearby school parking lot. Macedonia had methamphetamine in his possession when the police arrested him.
Macedonia was booked for the following charges –
- First-degree burglary
- Possession of a controlled substance
- Prowling
- Obstructing/resisting an officer
