Traffic Stop Reportedly Leads to Discovery of Alleged Cocaine-Fentanyl Mixture

A man was recently arrested after Humboldt County authorities allegedly discovered a large amount of suspected narcotics during a search.

According to a press release by the Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office, agents with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force, assisted by the Fortuna Police Department carried out a search warrant on Renee Hernandez-Pulido, 28, on June 22.

Agents had reportedly observed Hernandez-Pulido traveling from Humboldt County to Los Angeles. Upon his return, agents conducted a traffic stop on Hernandez-Pulido’s vehicle.

A Fortuna police officer conducted a narcotics search with the assistance of a K9 unit, reportedly leading to the discovery of just over two pounds of a suspected cocaine-fentanyl mixture.

Authorities took Hernandez-Pulido into custody on multiple narcotics charges.
