Five Arrested in Connection with Alleged Armed Robbery, Pursuit in Hollywood

Five individuals, including two juveniles, have reportedly been arrested in connection with an alleged armed robbery and police pursuit in Hollywood.

The robbery occurred on Thursday, June 20, on the 8600 block of Wilshire Blvd. The suspects allegedly produced a handgun and demanded the victim’s Rolex watch, police said in a press release.

A Beverly Hills city employee reportedly witnessed the alleged crime and notified Beverly Hills police. Officers located the suspect vehicle and attempted a traffic stop, but the driver allegedly fled, leading to a pursuit.

Officers pursued the vehicle into Hollywood with the assistance of an LAPD helicopter.

At one point, the suspects reportedly abandoned the vehicle near Afton Place and North El Centro Avenue.

Beverly Hills and LAPD officers quickly established a containment, leading to the arrest of all five suspects.

Police established a containment perimeter and apprehended all five suspects. Officers also recovered evidence related to the alleged robbery from the vehicle, police said.

Xavier Ford, 18, was arrested on suspicion of assault with a firearm and conspiracy. Gangster Lawson, 23, was arrested on suspicion of robbery, assault with a firearm, and conspiracy. Nasir Blocker, 18, was arrested on suspicion of robbery.

Two juveniles, ages 16 and 17, were also arrested in connection with the case.
