Alameda Officers Arrest Carjacking Suspects with Help from Oakland and San Francisco Police

ALAMEDA — Three carjacking suspects were arrested by Alameda officers with coordinated help from Oakland and San Francisco police. All three were booked into Alameda County Santa Rita Jail.
The carjacking happened June 26 at approximately 2 p.m. Two individuals approached a mother with children on the 2800 block of Central Avenue in Alameda. They ordered them out of the vehicle at gunpoint, stole the vehicle, and other property. A third suspect was seen waiting inside another car. Fortunately, no one was injured.
GPS tracking technology enabled Alameda PD to find the stolen vehicle in Oakland. A helicopter was dispatched by Oakland police to monitor it traveling toward the Oakland-San Francisco Bay Bridge. Alameda police following the suspects notified San Francisco police.
A prepared statement from the Alameda Police Department says. “Once in San Francisco, the suspects lost control (crashed into a utility pole) and attempted to flee on foot. A perimeter was established leading to the arrest of three individuals and the recovery of a firearm.”
Sariyah, Barker, 18, of Oakland, was arrested at 3:34 p.m. Multiple charges were filed against Barker, including carjacking and child abuse. Other charges include defendant armed or used a weapon. She remains in custody in lieu of $375,000 bond, pending a hearing on July 9.
Marionna M. Haley, 18, of Stockton, was arrested at 4:25 p.m. Charges filed against Haley include carrying an unregistered loaded firearm, carjacking, and child abuse. She remains in custody in lieu of $640,000 bond, pending a July 9 court hearing.
Isaiah L. Howard, 18 of Oakland, was arrested at 4:30 p.m. Howard’s charges include receiving stolen property/motor vehicle, unlawful driving or taking of a vehicle. Other charges include carjacking and possession of a firearm by a felon. Howard who has prior juvenile convictions remains in custody.
