Driver Arrested for Alleged Weapon Violations, Outstanding Warrant in Lodi

An individual was recently arrested in Lodi after a traffic stop reportedly led to the discovery of an outstanding arrest warrant.
On the morning of June 29, an officer attempted to stop a car for alleged vehicle code violations on the 600 block of East Victor Road, Lodi police said in a press release.
The driver allegedly drove around the back of the ARCO gas station on East Victor Road before stopping on Houston Lane.
When officers approached, the individual allegedly refused to exit the vehicle. Officers ultimately removed them from the vehicle and detained them without further incident, police said.
Officers reportedly discovered that the individual had a felony warrant for their arrest, and also confiscated a loaded handgun found in a dirt lot behind the gas station.
The individual, identified as Lorenzo Lemuz, 33, was arrested on suspicion of resisting or obstructing peace officers, weapons violations, traffic violations, and the outstanding warrant, police said.
