Mariposa County Man Faces Attempted Murder Charge for Allegedly Setting Fire to Occupied Home

A Mariposa County man reportedly faces felony charges of arson and attempted murder for allegedly setting fire to an occupied home.

In a press release, CAL FIRE reported that law enforcement officers had arrested Henry Castro Manzano, 25, on Monday, July 1, in Mariposa County.

Authorities had identified Manzano as the primary suspect in connection with a structure fire on Banderilla Drive in La Grange.

Six residents were inside the home when the fire was set but safely evacuated without injuries, officials said.

Manzano reportedly faces felony charges of arson of an occupied structure and attempted murder.
