Suspects Reportedly Arrested in Connection with Armed Robbery in Culver City

Culver City police have reportedly arrested two suspects in connection with an armed robbery last month.

The robbery occurred just before 1:30 a.m. on June 20, at an ATM on the 5600 block of Sepulveda Boulevard.

The suspects allegedly demanded money and the victim’s cell phone, and one allegedly pointed a semi-automatic weapon at the victim, police said.

In a press release, Culver City police identified the two suspects as Joe Saldivar-Salazar, 22, and Alexander Mejia, 21.

Police located and arrested Saldivar-Salazar on July 3. Mejia was arrested two days later, on July 5.

Both were booked at the Culver City Police Department jail.

Mejia remains in custody on $100,000 bail, while Saldivar-Salazar posted bail and has since been released, police said.
