Las Vegas Man Charged in Orange County for Alleged Trafficking of a Minor

A Las Vegas man has been charged with multiple crimes for the alleged human trafficking of a minor in Orange County.

According to a press release by the Anaheim Police Department, investigators received information early last week regarding the alleged sexual exploitation of a 14-year-old girl.

The Orange County Human Trafficking Task Force located the girl in Anaheim, and began an investigation with the assistance of the California Highway Patrol and the FBI.

Less than 12 hours later, investigators reportedly identified the suspect in the case as Marcus Boyd, 36, of Las Vegas.

Boyd was arrested and booked at the Anaheim Police Department detention facility, police said.

On Thursday, July 11, Boyd was formally charged with human trafficking of a minor, pandering a minor under 16 years old, possession of a silencer, evading a police officer, and resisting and obstructing a police officer.

Boyd remains in custody on $1 million bail, police said.
