Sacramento Sheriff’s Office Conducts Proactive Operations in High-Crime Areas

“The Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Detail (SED) and the Gang Suppression Unit (GSU) have been conducting proactive operations targeting high-crime areas throughout Sacramento County that have been negatively and disproportionately affected by violence. During one of their recent operations, GSU and SED made seven arrests and seized six illegally possessed firearms.
If you have information about gang members or other prohibited persons in possession of illegal weapons, please contact the Sheriff’s Office at (916) 874-5115 or Sacramento Valley Crime Stoppers at (916) 443-HELP (4357). Tips leading to an arrest are eligible for a CASH reward of up to $1000, and tipsters remain anonymous. Tips are paid in cash, and you are never asked for identification.
