Humboldt County Authorities Seize Illegal Weapons and Narcotics, Seek Whereabouts of Suspect

Humboldt County authorities recently seized various illegal firearms and narcotics after serving a search warrant earlier this week.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, agents with the county’s drug task force carried out a search warrant on the afternoon of Wednesday, July 24, at a home on the 3200 block of Ingley St. in Eureka.
Authorities had received information that the resident, identified as 42-year-old Dustin Cody Pool, was allegedly selling large quantities of narcotics, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Pool was also suspected of possessing several firearms, in violation of conditions imposed by prior convictions for firearm-related offenses.
Authorities carried out the search warrant, despite Pool not being home at the time.
During the search, authorities reportedly discovered three handguns, a P80 pistol equipped with a fully automatic switch, an AR-15, two AR-15 short-barrel rifles, a sawed-off shotgun, a .22 caliber rifle, and a fully automatic AK-47.
The P80 and AR-15s all lacked serial numbers, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Authorities reportedly also discovered several high-capacity magazines for pistols, AR-15 and AK-47 style weapons, and thousands of rounds of ammunition for various weapons.
As well, authorities confiscated around five grams of suspected heroin and five grams of suspected cocaine, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
The Humboldt County Sheriff’s Office has reportedly sought an arrest warrant for Pool on various charges related to these discoveries.
