Porterville Man Arrested for Child Pornography Charges

On July 23, 2024, at approximately 7:10 A.M., Porterville Police Detectives executed a search warrant at the residence of 18-year-old Jose Aaron Tabarez, located on the 500 block of West Black Oak Avenue in Porterville.

This action followed a CyberTip received in May 2024 from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) about a local individual uploading child pornography. Investigators linked the media files to Tabarez.

Subsequently, an arrest and search warrant were obtained, and during the search, evidence was collected. Tabarez was arrested at his home for possession and distribution of child pornography and booked into the Tulare County South County Detention Facility with bail set at $15,000. Authorities urge anyone with additional information to contact the Porterville Police Department at (559) 782-7400 or through their social media pages, with the option to remain anonymous.
