Sacramento Gang Member Arrested After Foot Pursuit and Weapon Seizure
On July 23rd at approximately 11 p.m., IMPACT Detectives conducted a traffic stop for vehicle code violations in the 6100 block of Shadow Lane. The driver, a 24-year-old from Sacramento, was identified as a validated gang member on searchable probation.
During the probation search, the suspect resisted and fled on foot. After a brief pursuit, he was apprehended, though one detective sustained injuries.
A search of the vehicle revealed a loaded ghost-style Glock handgun, a high-capacity magazine, and ammunition. The suspect, with a prior felony conviction, was prohibited from owning firearms. The weapon was confiscated, and the suspect was detained without injury.
