Suspect Arrested in Victorville Domestic Violence Related Double Homicide

On Sunday, July 28, 2024, at approximately 9:18 p.m., deputies from the Victorville Station responded to a disturbance report at a residence in the 12400 block of San Jacinto Drive. Upon arrival, deputies discovered that a verbal argument involving Donnie Griffin, 50, and his family had escalated into a physical assault. During this family altercation, two individuals, Cody McFann, 35, and Melissa Quintero, 39, arrived at the location. A physical confrontation ensued between the newly arrived individuals and Griffin.

Subsequently, Griffin armed himself with a firearm and pursued McFann and Quintero, resulting in him fatally shooting both victims. McFann and Quintero were pronounced deceased at the scene.

The Sheriff’s Specialized Investigations Division – Homicide Detail took over the investigation. Detectives determined that Griffin had fled to Las Vegas. A warrant was issued for his arrest. On Wednesday, July 31, 2024, Griffin was apprehended in Las Vegas by Homicide detectives, in collaboration with the Las Vegas Metro Police and the U.S. Marshal’s Office. Griffin was booked into a Las Vegas jail and is awaiting extradition to California.
