Man Arrested After Shots Fired at Transients in YCPD Incident

“On 8/4/2024 at approximately 11:30 PM, YCPD officers were dispatched to the area of Second Street near the River for reports of shots being fired at several transients. When officers arrived in the area, they located a vehicle that matched the description given by witnesses. Officers detained Hunter Archuleta, and three female companions without incident. Officers were able to see an AR-15 rifle with a 30 round magazine in the driver’s seat of Archuleta’s vehicle.

K9 Rip was deployed and conducted an article search for evidence and located a spent casing in a large parking lot (pictured). Archuleta was booked into the Sutter County Jail for multiple felony charges.”
