On August 3, 2024, at approximately 7:59 p.m., Corning Police Officers responded to a report concerning suspicious activity at 706 South Street. The report described a male subject in a white shirt with tattoos, identified as Michael Craig Baker, who had discarded a bicycle in an alley and entered a residence where he was reportedly not authorized to be.
Officers were already familiar with Baker, who was associated with the residence and on Post Release Community Supervision (PRCS) with both felony and misdemeanor warrants. At the time of the incident, Baker was found to be in violation of his supervision conditions.
