LOS BANOS, CA  –  Police in Los Banos have reportedly arrested an individual on attempted murder charges in relation to a stabbing incident that occurred earlier this month.

Officers had responded on the night of August 5th to a report of a stabbing on the 200 block of Mercy Springs Rd., police said in a press release.

At the scene, officers reportedly discovered a male victim suffering multiple stab wounds.

Witnesses at the scene followed the victim’s attacker, who fled the area on foot. The suspect was ultimately able to escape, but witnesses knew him by name and identified him to officers, police said.

Officers later located the suspect, whom they identified as Reginald Scott Grimes Jr., 25.

Grimes was arrested and booked at the Los Banos City Jail on suspicion of attempted murder.
