Tulare County Deputies Arrest Armed Carjacking Suspect in Alpaugh

Tulare County deputies have arrested an individual for allegedly carjacking two farmworkers at gunpoint.

Around 7 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, deputies responded to a report of a carjacking at Avenue 56 and Road 236 in Ducor, the Sheriff’s Office said in a press release.

Two farmworkers reported being confronted by an armed suspect who demanded their property and car keys, then fled in their vehicle.

Deputies later located and arrested the suspect in Alpaugh.

A replica shotgun and the stolen property were recovered during the arrest, the Sheriff’s Office said.

The suspect was booked on suspicion of robbery and carjacking.
