Sacramento Man Arrested for Allegedly Detonating Explosive Device in Merced

A Sacramento County man was recently arrested for allegedly detonating an explosive device in Merced.

According to a press release by the Merced Police Department, officers responded in the early morning hours of Aug. 11 to a report of an explosion on Sunol Court.

Officers were initially unable to determine the source, but soon identified the precise location. Officers also determined the suspect had fled to a nearby residence.

During follow-up investigation, the Merced Police Bomb Team identified the suspect as Jadin Tindle, 24, of Sacramento.

On Aug. 16, Merced Police officers carried out a search warrant at Tindle’s home, with assistance from the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.

Tindle was arrested and booked at the Sacramento County jail on an outstanding warrant in connection with the explosion, Merced police said.
