Porterville Resident Arrested for Fraud, Drug Offenses, and Active Warrants
On August 18, 2024, at approximately 6:04 a.m., officers from the Porterville Police Department responded to a residence in the 2300 block of West Morton Avenue for a warrant service. Upon arrival, officers contacted 50-year-old Porterville resident Pamela Rowland in her vehicle. A records check revealed that Rowland had active felony warrants for her arrest and was under the influence of a controlled substance. The records check also indicated that she was on active Post Release Community Supervision for a prior embezzlement conviction.
During a search of Rowland’s vehicle incident to her arrest, officers discovered drug paraphernalia, numerous checks, mail, and other personal identifying information belonging to approximately 100 other individuals. Additionally, a laptop and printer found in the vehicle were determined to have been used for printing fraudulent checks.
Rowland was arrested on multiple charges, including possession of other persons’ personal identifying information, check forgery and counterfeiting, being under the influence of a controlled substance, possession of drug paraphernalia, and her active warrants. She was subsequently booked into the South County Detention Facility with bail set at $170,000.
