Fresno Detectives Identify, Arrest Suspect in Connection with Murder of Jared Rogers

Fresno police have reportedly arrested an individual in connection with the murder of Jared Rogers, 23.
Police had responded just after 12 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 18, to Martin Ray Reilly Park on North Chestnut Avenue to investigate a report of a severely injured male subject.
At the scene, police found an unresponsive Jared Rogers, 23, who had sustained multiple stab wounds to his upper torso. He was ultimately pronounced deceased at an area medical center.
According to a press release by the Fresno Police Department, detectives have identified the primary suspect in Rogers’s murder as Jacob Harshman, 29.
Undercover detectives carried out a search warrant in connection with the case on Wednesday, Aug. 21, in the area of East Tyler and North Garden avenues. During this time, Harshman was located and arrested on suspicion of murder.
Although an arrest has been made, the investigation is still ongoing, police said.
