One Arrested, Another Sought in Connection with BB Gun Shooting at Hollister Riverbed
Hollister police have arrested a man for allegedly shooting someone with an air rifle during an altercation behind the local high school.
In a press release, the Hollister Police Department reported that officers had responded to the scene, near the riverbed by the high school, on the afternoon of Aug. 26.
The victim, an adult male, had reportedly suffered a superficial wound after being shot by an air rifle during an altercation with two other adults.
The victim was treated at the scene and declined to be taken to hospital, police said.
Officers reportedly identified Luis Huerta Fuentes, 22, as the primary suspect in the shooting.
Fuentes was loocated and arrested on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and violation of probation.
The second suspect has yet to be identified, police said.
