Culver City Police Investigate Attempted Armed Robbery on Green Valley Circle

Culver City police are investigating an attempted armed robbery on Green Valley Circle over the weekend.

According to a department press release, officers responded just after 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 31, to a report of an attempted armed robbery on the 5800 block of Green Valley Circle.

Responding officers learned that the attempted robbery had occurred at around 11:18 a.m.

The suspect allegedly approached the victim at an ATM and demanded money, stating, “Put all the money inside the bag or I’ll shoot” while pointing a gun. Fearing for her life, the victim ran inside the bank.

The suspect followed the victim into the bank but then fled the area, police said.

The suspect is described as a Black adult female, approximately 60 years old, with a medium build and reddish-orange curly hair, wearing a light blue tank top, shorts, and sunglasses, and carrying a purse or bag with a black firearm.

Authorities are asking anyone with information to contact the Culver City Police Department.
