Camarillo Special Enforcement Unit: Arrest Made for Drug Sales to Minors
By F. Scott Faulkner
Ventura County, CA — On August 23, detectives from the Camarillo Special Enforcement Unit (SEU), working
hand-in-hand with the Thousand Oaks Directed Enforcement Unit and Ventura County
Sheriff’s Department patrol units stationed in Camarillo, arrested 34-year-old Oxnard
resident Jesus Bedolla on suspicion of operating an illegal marijuana delivery service
that sold products to minors.
Bedolla’s arrest followed an investigation that began in July 2024 when, according to
VCSD spokesman Sr. Deputy Steve Krupnik, a deputy from Camarillo Patrol Services
“responded to a report involving a juvenile in possession of marijuana.”
The immediately ensuing investigation identified Bedolla as the adult responsible for
supplying the marijuana. Detectives from SEU launched a detailed investigation and
discovered that Bedolla had provided not only marijuana but also psilocybin mushrooms
and alcohol to four juveniles, three of whom resided in Camarillo.
At that point, SEU detectives secured a search warrant for Bedolla and his residence
which was executed on August 23 and led to the discovery of “a significant quantity of
drugs, including 416.3 grams of psilocybin mushrooms, 1,114.3 grams of marijuana,
and 772 individual marijuana vape pens.” They also seized $1,683 in suspected
proceeds from drug sales, along with other evidence of narcotics distribution.
Bedolla was arrested and booked into the Ventura County Main Jail, where he faces
charges for possession of psilocybin mushrooms, sales of a controlled substance to a
minor, and sales of marijuana to a juvenile. He remains in custody on a no-bail hold.
