Police tried to pull the vehicle over but the driver refused to comply, leading to a pursuit that ended in Hercules.

The occupants abandoned the vehicle, reportedly leaving a 10-foot python inside. All four suspects were ultimately arrested.

The driver was arrested on suspicion of felony evading, while the three passengers were cited and released.

The python was returned to its owner and the Cadillac was towed, police said.
