Madera Police Reportedly Find Man Passed Out in Vehicle with Unregistered Weapons

Madera police arrested a man after reportedly finding him passed out in his vehicle, which led to the discovery of illegal weapons.
According to a press release by the Madera Police Department, officers on the afternoon of Sept. 5 found a man passed out in his vehicle in front of Auto Zone.
Officers contacted the man, who reportedly displayed signs of being under the influence of narcotics.
Officers then searched the vehicle and discovered an unregistered firearm with two different caliber uppers, police said.
Police identified the individual as Douglas Cheslik, 38, who was reportedly a convicted felon and prohibited from possessing weapons or ammunition.
Douglas was reportedly arrested and booked at the Madera County jail on weapons and narcotics charges.
