Los Altos Police Release Sketch of Suspect Wanted for Assault of Elderly Man

Los Altos police have released a composite sketch of the suspect believed to be responsible for the near-fatal assault of an 89-year-old man last week.

In a press release, Los Altos police shared the sketch, which is based on a description provided by a witness who came forward after reports of the initial assault.

The suspect is described as a white male standing approximately 6 feet tall, weighing around 180 pounds, with a thin to average build. The suspect reportedly wore a long-sleeve shirt, pants, and possibly a baseball cap.

The victim in the assault has been released from the hospital to recover at home, police said.

The investigation remains active.
