Azusa Police Arrest Suspect in Connection with March Shooting Incident

Police in Azusa have reportedly arrested a suspect in connection with a shooting incident back in March.

Detectives from the Azusa Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence on the 600 block of North Glenfinnan Avenue in Azusa on the morning of Thursday, Sept. 26.

The search is part of an investigation into a shots fired incident that occurred in March 2024, police said in a press release.

Officers responding to the initial report found multiple expended shell casings at the scene.

Nicholas Torres, whom police have identified as a suspect in the case, was arrested and is facing charges of negligent discharge of a firearm, illegal possession of a firearm, and being a felon in possession of a firearm.
